Omotesandō – the Champs-Élysées of Tokyo

Next door to Harajuku in Shibuya, Tokyo, Omotesandō is wide tree-lined avenue, stretching from the entrance to the Meiji Shrine to Aoyama-dori, where Omotesandō Station is located.

Here you can find just about anything, from most renowned international brands and luxury stores to gift shops and children’s toys. Similar to Harajuku, all sorts of fashion styles are on display.

Omotesandō Hills is a shopping complex, containing of 130 shops (Dolce&Gabanna, Bottega Veneta, Armani Junior, Jimmy Choo, etc.) and 38 apartments. The mall is also home to some art galleries, beauty shops and event spaces, and you can take a rest at one of its many restaurants and cafes.

Oriental Bazar is the ideal place for gift shopping. Good quality souvenirs at great prices.

Kiddy Land is children’s paradise. Although many adults can be seen shopping there as well. Toys from Ghibli Studio, Star Wars and Hello Kitty are just a few from the immense variety they sell.

Don’t miss the small streets going left and right from the main street, and if you are planning to shop, make sure you bring your passport, as you will get immediate tax free.
