Roppongi Hills is one of Japan’s largest integrated property developments, located in the heart of Roppongi district of Minato, Tokyo.

The mega-complex consists of office space, apartments, shops, restaurants, cafés, movie theatres, a museum, a hotel, the headquarters of a major Japanese TV studio (Asahi Tv ), an outdoor amphitheatre, and a few parks. It creates a self-sufficient community allowing people to live, work, play, and shop in proximity without having to waste any time commuting.
The design’s initial conception began in 1986, but it didn’t open to the public until April 25, 2003.

2

The 54-story Mori Tower is the centrepiece of Roppongi Hills and also one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. The first six levels of Mori Tower contain retail stores and restaurants. On the top six floors there are the Mori Art Museum and the Tokyo City View, which offers panoramic views of the city. The rest of the building is office space, home to leading companies such as Google and The Pokémon Company.

3

The retail facilities of Mori Tower consist of more than 200 shops and restaurants divided into four areas with different themes.

4

Nearby the Mori Tower are the four Roppongi Hills Residences towers, with a total of 793 luxurious and very expensive residential apartments.

5

At the rear of the Roppongi Hills complex there is a covered outdoor arena, used for a wide range of free and paid events throughout the year, from concerts to traditional festivals.

6

Roppongi Hills is a giant maze of shops and restaurants so, if you are visiting, be prepared to get lost.
It might be best to grab a “Floor Guide” on your way in that will give you the location of all the shops, restaurants and entertainment areas.
